Odyssey of the Mind
Odyssey of the Mind is an international educational program that provides creative problem-solving opportunities for students from kindergarten through college. Team members apply their creativity to solve problems that range from building mechanical devices to presenting their own interpretation of literary classics. They then bring their solutions to competition on the local, state, and World level. Please contact Laurie Beebe for more information.
Irish Dance
Sacred Heart offers a unique opportunity for students to learn Irish Dance. The school has an Irish Dance team of approximately 50 dancers, boys and girls, ranging in age from 4 to 14. The dancers are divided into groups according to age and perform at the Christmas program and various venues in the Spring. The team was originally started by the Presentation Sisters from Cork, Ireland, who founded Sacred Heart School. Practices start in September and are every Friday morning at 7:00 am in the gym. ARCHERY BASKETBALL SOCCER
We are proud to introduce a new sport to our middle schoolers at Sacred Heart. The archery team meets weekly afterschool to practice their shooting skills.
Basketball is offered to our middle school students during the winter months. Students compete with other private schools in the Middle Georgia area.
We are currently registering for the Scred Heart Soccer Association's recreational soccer league. The Sacred Heart soccer league is for boys and girls ages 4 and up. The season runs August through November. Sacred Heart Soccer Association accepts players from throughout the local area. You do not need to be a member of our parish or a student at our school to participate. Please see the front office for registration information.
Sacred Heart is excited to be partnering with the Museum of Aviation's S.T.E.M. program.
